My favorite is 4. It featured one of the most important tournaments in wrestling history that was for the vacant WWF championship. To me it has the best wrestlemania ending too.

3 is the best without a doubt. You cant beat 90,000 people with Hogan/Andre as your main event and the badass Savage/Steamboat match.

I say three too. The savage vs steamboat match really made the show. It just felt like the most important wm to me since it was the first really big wrestling ppv. I think wm 4 dragged on a little. It was good at times, but some matches brought it down, like that roberts and rude match, that went on way too long.

I went with IV since its the first WrestleMania I watched. It had a Battle Royal + a tournament; can't go wrong with that combo. Didn't get to see III till years later. V and VI stood out for me too with the two mega main events. Somehow I always felt that VII fell short in many ways, particularly the main event. Never could see Slaughter as a legit World Champ.

After much personal, internal debate, I'm giving up and just going to say WrestleMania II. This is a very, very tough choice though. I loved 3 and I loved 1 and 4,5,6 as well. It's difficult to really choose a favorite. But I'll go with 2. A lot of people on the internet bash 2, and yes there were problems (Susan St. James commentary esp.) but every WM has had problems. Overall, WrestleMania 2 is a big nostalgic favorite for me. I always loved WrestleMania 2 as a kid. It was the WrestleMania during the era I totally got caught up in the WWF. I had been a fan around a year before WrestleMania 2, but this one was really big for me...after following Saturday Night's Main Events and WWF on USA network, I was caught up in it all. WrestleMania 2 was held from 3 venues, L.A., Chicago (Rosemont), and New York. I always liked this because it gave it a "big time" event feel. The card was awesome. Some of my favorite matches: George "The Animal" Steele vs. Randy "Macho Man" Savage (Ooooh yeah....heel Savage goodness.....this is one of my all-time fav feuds)
Jake "The Snake" Roberts vs. George Wells (I used to love watching this match as a kid at my cousin's house)
Mr. T vs. Roddy Piper in a boxing match (I pity the fool!)
20 Man Battle Royal featuring wrestlers mixing it up with NFL players (The Fridge!)
The Dream Team vs. The British Bulldogs (with Capt. Lou Albano and Ozzy Osbourne)
The Funk Brothers vs. Tito Santana and Junkyard Dog (The J...Y....D!!!!)
Hulk Hogan vs. King Kong Bundy in a steel cage (I've always absolutely loved this match and I think it's underrated.....the drama with Hogan's cracked ribs and the mammoth walking condo's brutality....prime-time Hulkamania era here)WrestleMania 2 embodied so much that I loved about the WWF and the annual WrestleMania event. It had the glitz, the glamour, the drama, the celebrities, and one of the best rosters in wrestling history (in my opinion). And another thing, WrestleMania 2 was had such a great 80's feel to it. Now, when I think of the 80's and I think of WrestleManias, I usually think of 2. All of the 80's WrestleManias were tremendous. 3 was probably the best WrestleMania of all time, and 4 and 5 were also during an incredible time in the WWF, and 1 was the innovator, and then in 1990, 6 was big time with big matches too. After much internal struggle, I think that 2 is probably my personal favorite. Speaking of WrestleMania 2, man I wish I had this thing:

Wow, I had no idea you liked 2 so much dave. I've never really been a big fan of it. I always thought it seemed like a tv broadcast rather than a ppv, cause the match feuds didnt really seem that developed. It was like they threw too many matches together just for the hell of it. I think they should have had a better opponent for Jake. It had a lot of good moments though. I think it felt kind of choppy though since they were going from place to place. It didnt seem like a ppv as a whole.

That ring is cool. I didnt know they made one just for WM 2. I thought it was just an old school cage.

Piper/Mr T and Hogan/Bundy were both built up really well. T and Piper had been a hot feud since WM 1, although it did die down for a little while since Mr T wasnt on WWF tv that much in between. You knew they really didnt like eachother though. Bundy cracking Hogan's ribs was a big deal and made Hogan the underdog which was different.

I like 6 the best. It had a great crowd and some high profile matches. The Hogan and Warrior match really delivered as a main event.

WrestleMania 8 was for me because i am biased about the fact it was the 1st pay-per-view event i ever got to see.
