Jake started off as a very talented heel in the WWF. He had a character that almost made you believe he was the devil in the flesh. In no time he was main eventing with Hogan. Then later in his career he was turned heel after he had been a very successful face. Do you think these turns happed at the right time? No doubt they were surprising. He was so good at playing both sides, it was tough to see the radical changes when you were use to him being a certain character.

I think the turns worked well, since no one saw them coming. The face to heel turn was classic. He became one of the greatest heels of all time in 91.

Its hard to say which time he was a better heel, the first or second. Both times he was like the devil himself. The second turn pissed me off a little. I was a big fan and it was hard to see something like that when your ten years old.

The first one happened too soon. He had much potential as a heel when he was doing the snake pit. The problem was that he was so good the people liked him too much to boo. They were short on great faces at the time too.
